picked some up cheap today, any opinions on them?
Yes.
Raced two seaons on some.
Best feature is the off camber grip, see the large side knobs.
Quick on flat hardpack.
Downside I've found is that the side knobblies slow you down in moist conditions i.e if the ground is soft enough you sink up to the knobblies and you can feel the drag.
Wear fast and don't shed mud too well.
That said still a perfectly good general purpose tyre.
Yep - like most conti's- great in black chilli versions and less impressive in other versions.
Cool, got them for bridleway/rooty singletrack night rides, won't be racing them, just summer use
I had some conti cx tires I didn't like the way they climbed down edges. Currently using 10 yr old Michelin tires and T34 tubs.
