If you're talking about the V.02 one, I stuck one on my 575 for a trip to Cwmcarn and it didn't drop the chain once so it's definitely doing it's job. Was a doddle to fit too. I've taken it off now for normal riding as I think the wear rate is going to be pretty rapid if you put in the miles with it on.

I read somewhere that you were supposed to be able to switch the guide around 4 different so that the tube would last longer.

I got one for my Niner for a Wales trip. No chain dropping and forgot it was there. A great, simple and nicely designed bit of kit.

I've got one and used it for our week in Morzine. Nicely quietened the rear end and kept things in check. It did tend to clog up in the mud (mix of mud and pine needles - yummy!) but was easy to clean out. Dont have much of a groove in mine yet, but think I may remove it for pootling around. Its dead easy to remove with one bolt, just leave the cable guide part zip tied to the bike. You can turn the guide part to have the chain wear 4 different sides/faces so should make it last a bit longer. I'd imagine once you wear in the initial track it will then slow down the wear rate a bit as more of the chain will contact it.

Good for 40 quid, and will last longer than my DCD did years ago hah.

Got one on the ASR as I'm more towards the XC end of trail riding and felt a full chain device was overkill, it's a DCD but updated and a bit more expensive. Definitely solved the issues I had with chain dropping on the 2x10 set up on rough/rocky descents though...

I'm liking mine alot, no discernable effect on gear changes, almost silent and a doddle to setup.

Got mine from Charlie the Bikemonger, seem to be the cheapest in the UK at the moment (£33.99 -free postage).

Yep, used one on a 1x9 soft tail and they are great.
Do exactly what they claim to do.

Had one for about 6 months now. Very good for chain retention and reducing chain slap.

The top plastic bracket did snap on mine but Roger at Bionicon UK replaced it free of charge. Apparently that part has now been re-designed to be stronger. He also recommended adding a third zip tie across the middle to reduce stress and improve durability.

All in all a good product and very good customer service from Bionicon.
