Thinking of trying one on my rigid setup...seem to be a lot of positive reviews about albeit a bit pricey.

As you get older every bit of extra comfort is appreciated. You might as well say why have suspension ...just flex your body more! ( which is what I do )
People seem to be liking the shock stop .
I always liked my flexstem bitd. Firm bumper, did a job well enough. Would rather have tyre volume do that job now but this is still a valid option.
Actually quite interesting that, everyone'll say "flexstem" but the thing about flexstems wasn't that they were a bad idea, it's that they didn't work, the elastomers didn't last 5 minutes.

Ditto. Back when I had a Flexstem tyres were skinny and firm and no-one had suspension forks. The Flexstem was a worthwhile option
I've used one for a few months on my gravel bike, I found it best to set up a lot softer than recommended, feels like having a large plush front tyre, just as it's designed to.
I'm awaiting delivery of the matching seat post sometime in January.
If anyone wants one Redshift have a 20% off deal at the moment . Just ordered one with 2 extra elastomer packs for £20 less than UK price and that includes VAT /shipping etc .
Works out about £110 delivered (£139.99 on Amazon) code HOLIDAY18SM for the discount
Have got to admit that I was a naysayer, made comparisons with products of old, then I rode one thanks to ISON.
Pleasantly surprised. Would I buy one? Yes. Would I stock them? No.
I think it's a really good product but they will have an uphill battle against people like me pre-judging 🙂
I've got one on my Kinesis Tripster and I absolutely love it.
Mind you I am an old duffer with a dodgy back, but having one has definitely taken the sting out of the trails and made life a lot more comfortable. I'm also eagerly awaiting the delivery of their seatpost.
