[Closed] Anyone tried a Carradice bagman in place of a rack?

Normally I use a rack with a sleeping bag etc. in a waterproof stuff sack bungeed on, for multi day epics. However, I've noticed that these weigh less and don't involve me scratching the frame with P-clips.

So the question is, has anyone used one off-road?

They are nominally 10kg rated but I intend putting less than half that in them. I can see issues with seatpost and saddle rail strength, so I'd be changing them to suit.

Used one for a 2 day peaks trip last year. Held up fine and that was with the bolts loose! Now even better with the bolts fixed. Carried a sleeping bag and some food/tools in my Carradice Barley bag on it, with a bungee holding it all tight.

I've used one with a saddle bag and like the contrast between 1930s and 2010s technologies.
I did swap out my carbon seat post as I didn't fancy biking home standing up with a saddlebag held in my teeth.
