Just took the plunge and got myself an E160!  Having spent that amount of cash I was expecting a little more 'finesse' on the packaging and a bit in the way of accessories?

Unbranded box, a few manuals and charger thrown in another box!  Has the feel of ex-dispaly bike about it, which wasn't mentioned.

I haven't bought new for years but the last bike for my other half came with pump, torque wrench etc all in a branded presentation box.

If anyone else has bought a Whyte recently, can you tell me whether at least a shock pump came with it?  I bought from a retailer btw rather than direct.

Last two bikes (including a Whyte), plastic bag of manuals, reflectors and bits and bobs.  No shock pump although i think i got a Leisure Lakes branded multi tool and pedal spanner with my Orbea.

I think they days of getting a shock pump included are long gone.

Bought mine 3 years ago, but came in a Whyte box with charger in Busch packaging and a basic manual. Wasn’t expecting anything else, haven’t had a shock pump with a bike in the last 10 years.

Does sound like yours was on the shop floor and sent out in whatever box they had at the time. Going by the current market, I’m assuming you got a pretty hefty discount off RRP though?

I picked mine up fully built up so no bike box or shock pump , small box with fork and shock manual, bosch charger and sram axs manual. All reflectors and the bell were in the box as I told the shop not to fit them and it was £1700 off rrp

Christ! Where did you buy from? I'm not sure I've EVER known anyone get that level of service buying an MTB... Not since the heady days of the late 90's when bike shops were making twice the margin that they do these days on bike sales at least...

mboy, direct from Intense.  Big chunk off rrp but still looked after us, 4 years ago now.

Thanks all, my expectations have been suitably adjusted!  Although now I'm grumpy that I didn't get a bell that I would have thrown straight in the bin...

I'm new to ebikes and now busy planning rides that don't involve hoisting this thing over any gates!  Lovely looking bike though!
