Just asking as I am looking at subscribing and just wanted to ask before wasting my cash.
had a subscription for a year as a gift but didn't renew in the end. If, like me, your the pernickity kind of person that meticulously researches every purchase then its not for you. In the end i found they didn't review products I thought were equal to, if not better than the ones they reviewed.
Some interesting articles though and the subscription does get yu access to the online content which includes previous tests.
Some libraries stock them
I used to get the magazine in the pre /early interent age...quite liked it but I thought that it became too expensive. You can get a trial membership, check out all the reviews you are interested in then cancel. There are so many other sources for reviews available on the internet now....and also if you have a library nearby they often have a subscription so you can flick through the back issues.
Thanks ill hold off then. I am one of those who investigates every option before buying something.
what fubar said. I got the £1 trial when researching which pushchair/car seat to get for our impending new arrival and found it very useful. l wouldn't subscribe to the magazine at full price though. Personally I think they're missing a trick by not offering a reduced price online only subscription.
found that especially with consumer electronics/white goods trend was that by the time the test was published actual models tested were no longer available/superceded so the detailed info wasn't much use and i cancelled - so back to what are the most reliable brands and thats pretty easy to work out usually
