Does anyone know of a senior bod at Fisher who deals with SRAM products that I could speak to?

lol.

Fisher outdoor leisure. One of the Trade accounts I don't enjoy dealing with.

Took an order 3 months and about 20 phone calls to complete.

:-s

I see more complaints about Fishers on twitter than the other big importers.

[edit]

General Enquires - 01727 798 340

just use this and don't put the phone back/agree to be called back until yopu have what you want.

As a retailer we get nothing but excellent service from them.

Hora - if they are under warranty then why not get your retailer to do the leg work for you?

I had the exact same symptoms on a Uturn Lyrik a few years ago- I remember the notes stated leak in MOCO/replaced MOCO.

I then had a set of 2steps that basically failed out of the box then failed as soon as they were back on the bike from repair.

These DH Lyriks have exactly the same symptoms as the Uturns yet I was told 'maybe you over-turned the compression dial'. How is it possible to overturn a dial? I don't have hands with massive-torque.

Fisher have already admitted the part ('if faulty') is out of stock until mid-Nov at the earliest (which means there will be a queue forming of other forks I imagine).

I've waited two weeks just for a returns number so it really doesn't bode well and I know the next step (if I relinquish the forks) will be 'sorry wont be until mid-Nov at the earliest).

Why should I be without forks that long?

Well I had abit of a polite moan this morning about waiting two weeks for a returns number and I'd rather have a replacement so waiting to hear back.

Why didn't I stick with Fox or even Marzocchi? When I bought these I was actually looking at the 55 RC3's as well and I thought 'best not/just incase'. Oh the irony. 😆

Do you keep adjusting damping?

That's good to know. We buy stuff pretty intermittently but will have an order going in soon so hopefully they'll be OK.

The first order was a PITA which kinda puts you off a bit.

Never had any problems with their sales side either as a retailer, but their warranty department was insultingly slow.

Not at all- I just noticed the fork spiking yesterday. Should I adjust it more to keep it free?

For me a business is defined by their customer service.

When I had an issue under warrenty, fishers just told me to contact my local LBS with an account... went in, they booked it online in two minutes & sent it got sent out.

Considering it was a fork imported from the US, I was very impressed... LBS were very surprised fisher would deal with it, luckily I had the email to show them/prove it...
RS forks along with Fox have a worldwide warrenty, no matter what you get told otherwise.

"spiking"? what, exactly does that mean?

I'm obviously doing things all wrong coz I just set mine up once and ride the things. Is there some sort of Advanced Bike Setup course available?

Does anyone know any Management name(s) at Winstanley bikes? I've been polite throughout (including on the phone) however the person who answers wont give me a senior name. She keeps referring me to someone called Theresa who doesn't return calls.

I should have bought the 55 RC3 Ti's. I never thought I'd see the day again where I said that about Marzocchi's over Rockshox.

If I ever met you Hora, I would be more than happy to say it to your face.

I don't have a problem with saying things as they are.

Marz seem to be the most reliable fork around now. Nice to see hora's mishaps trending on twitter too...

Didn't you bitch and whine about your Pikes as well? Something about how they needed a PUSH upgrade from new just to be vaguely rideable

Honestly, if it's not one thing it's another. As they say "a bad workman ......."

I hear you cheeky monkey and I know online I sometimes don't do myself any favours with my incessant bike part changes but (bar the set of Mazz 55's that I had) the only forks that I've had issues with were Uturn Lyrik's (3yrs ago), Hydro-locked Pikes, 2step Lyriks and now these Lyrik's.

On the Pikes I think I said (at the time) Fox's damping (at the time) was more advanced etc and PUSH'd was needed to compete. Then again, in general Fox seems to be better across the board with their fork damping compared to Rockshox?? You don't have to be any sort of riding god to feel the difference.

The 2ndhand 36 Floats that I had for 18months were fine. I only got rid as the frame I'd bought for a holiday was a smidge to long on the headtube and I thought 'good excuse to shop'.

Found the contacts at Winstanley Bikes- its them not Fisher. If anyone needs them for a future complaint.

Top tip: Shop at Merlin Cycles.
