Looking for a spare set of wheels for the gravel bike. Currently have Hope 20fives on with road tyres and be good to have another set with gravel tyres on so I can switch quickly.
not looking for anything special but ideally similar weight maybe a tad lighter than the Hopes and looking to keep it under £200
Prime orro at 1800g and £160
Where are those?
thanks!
If you want really cheap - Prime Baroudeur Disc Alloy Wheelset | Wiggle
I think the OUTLET10 code still works.
Nice! They appear to be a fraction lighter too.
The Prime Attaquer are supposedly under 1500g according to the reviews at £180 with discount. I'm quite tempted.

But significantly narrower.. which may be a consideration for larger gravel tyres.

Outlet10 works on these, which look really quite nice for the money.
I have the Attaquer, really great set of wheels. Ratchet freehub.
Mine weighed around 1450g for the pair.
Tempted to get some of the 56mm Doyenne
Slight thread hijack - does anyone have the prime primavera 56 carbon disc wheels?

Currently £485 with the EXTRA10 discount code.
I want some new wheels for my road bike but can't find much in the way of reviews and not convinced the warranty/back-up will be in place considering what is going on with Wiggle, noting these wheels use own-brand/no-name hubs.
The sensible side of me thinks a set of DT Swiss alloy rims built onto Hope hubs by Moonglu for £520 is a better place to put my money?

I've had a couple of sets of Prime wheels and they've been spot on.
The only issue was delamination of a rim after several years use on my old rim-braked road bike. The actual hubs and spokes never missed a beat. No idea what hubs they are or what - if any - replacement freehubs exist for them though.
I'm tempted by some of the wheels myself but I hardly ever use my rim-braked road bike, it's pretty much just a museum piece now. It'd be nice to have it working again though and those Primes are some of the very few decent rim-braked QR wheels around. 🤔
yes. have had absolutely no issue with them over 1000 miles. rims are pretty tough. Recommend them as a cheap set of carbon wheels TBH. mine are 1620g

There's cheap DT P1800s on Merlin - £250. Anyone any idea if these will be better than the Prime Attaquers for winter filth? They're a pound heavier but it's a price I'm willing to pay for freehub reliability.
