there's the annual On-One smart lunar saleathon.

I like the smart rear lights. It's like a disco for my butthole.

On the front I'm using a Cateye Volt 300 which you can pick up for about £40 seems well made and is a very neat package which rakes no time to swap between bikes or shove in a pocket if you're leaving your bike somewhere insalubrious. USB charging good light output, nice focused beam and a good pulse mode for dusk.

Define "cheap". Exposure Strada Mk2's are £75. This is 480 lumens of well designed light with excellent build and customer support. It's the last commuting light you'll need. It is not the smallest package, however.

Cheap = £30-£40 ish?!

I've got a set of cheapish cateye somethingorothers but the front one in particular is a bit rubbish!

Cateye EL610 is very good and mine has been run-over-by-a-car-proof thanks to Teen1. Now replaced by the Volt.

The Strada is better value for money by far.

I use one of these bargain front lights. Good flashing action, nice n bright (more of a "be seen" than "to see") - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/230593201762

I'm sporting these with an extra Zecto on the front.. if you buy them singlularly the front is £18 in Evans at the mo..

I use them not for beam, but so others can see me around that Lonjon, tend to have them on intermediate flash.

USB rechargable too, but also can charge from a micro SD charger..
