Been trying to find a set of mudguards to fit an old Cotic Soda with Exotic rigid carbon forks up front. The bike is mainly used on the road. Want full length because I hate wet feet, also do not want rainwater & grit spray up towards the bb & chainring area. The SKS Veloflex looks fine for the rear, but I can't see a way to fit the front one - there's about a 4 inch gap between the tyre & the fork crown. Could I fettle another rear bridge to fit the front one, or am I just delusional about ever getting a full length front mudguard to fit? Any others worth a look? Really hoping not to make the bike look like a sack of ****. Any help gratefully appreciated.
What size wheels/tyres are you running?
I've got the SKS Speedrockers on my gravel bike. Not sure if they do a wider version?
26 X 1.5 Schwalbe City Jets - Got a set of Speed Rockers a couple of years ago - forks are too far apart and too beefy for them to fit nicely. Now consigned to be "another bit of gear I've bought without thinking it through first" pile. Sick and tired of doing this. Way too much in that pile.
It's not agro gravel spec - more ageing hooligan ex-courier urban MTB stylee 😸
Fave courier bike from '93-'95 was 1st gen 17" frame Kona Explosiif rigid (Tange), 1x 40 to 18-12 XT STI with short cage mech (DCD fitted to prevent chain drops), Mavic Ceramic rims laced oto Deore LX hubs, rubber was Nutrak Fasgrip City's or Specilazed Fatboy's probably 1.25" (both completely slick), used D Salmon 1" wide mudguards (water only flies from the centre of the tread) 120 zero rise ITM stem slammed, flat bars about the width of my shoulders with the sweep facing forward, X-Lite Enduro Stubbies bar ends (to get more aero), Flite Ti saddle and USE inline seat post. Could beat most things on four wheels off the line at traffic lights and was the most flickable, fun bike I've ever had with the exception of the Klein Attitude Dolomite I later found. People might argue that these are meant to be used on mountains - I just want a bike that can cope, as well as being a complete blast to ride in an urban situation. Hopefully, this missive explains a bit more about my strange choices of equipment.
Apologies for the rambling b****** - just missing the fun I used to have in a more component compatible time 😿
When you say fettle a rear bridge to fit the front do you know you can buy spare bridges? I have done this and fitted one to a Surly Krampus 110 fork with no problem. I got the idea from this review:

Think I bought the bridge from a German site but a quick search shows in stock in UK too:
I'm running some Veloflexx 65mm's on a drop bar gravel bike with 50mm 650b tyres. Work great. I also bought an extra bridge mount thingy.
