Just re-rimmed my wheels with Archaetypes after the winter killed my Pacenti sl23 rims. Pondering whether to give it a go with my existing Schwalbe One tubeless tyres or go back to tubes?

this guy does. I ride with him often.
uses a variety of rims and tyres. including the schwalbe one.
recommends it heartily.
although personally I haven't gone there yet due to the fact I change tyres more often than my socks.

I run Archetypes with 28mm tubeless Ones. Taped the rims up with 3M crossweave tape (see ebay), Stans value and they went up no problem with a compressor.

I've also run them with 2.1 29er tyres but they needed a Stans rimstrip to inflate.

I've also run Archetypes with Bonty R3 (25mm), Hutchinson Sector (28mm), and some others I can't remember...

How do you find these rims? They're under consideration for a new build. I need something lightish , strong and reliable, that'll not fold in half at the first sign of a pothole.

As a follow up, two layers of yellow tape and a couple of PVC insulation tape and tyres went up first attempt with a track pump.

Pete they are great rims, built a couple of sets before and they can really take some stick. Nice hard alloy too so the braking surfaces last well in winter this is my first hard anno grey set and the finish is superb.

yes good rims. All mine are disc setups. Tough, handsome, not weenie light but fine. I've used mine on and off road and they've been very strong.

Also consider the new Pacenti disc rim if it's for a road disc setup.
