I had a set on my 5 when i first bought it, as did a friend on his 5. We're around 14-14.5 stone and ride relatively aggressively. Both of us found them quite flexy over rooty/rough sections and we both ended up sending them back to mojo under warranty because the crown/steerer section started creaking. I swapped to a set of lyric solo airs which i run at 150mm and my mate got a set of revelation world cups. His revs are noticeably stiffer than the fox forks, they're lighter too if i remember correctly. Finally one of the other lads (albeit in the 11 stone camp) we ride with ran them for a while before flogging them and changing to a set of 36s whcih he runs at 150mm.

All in, three people tried them on fives, two had warranty claims and one swapped for preference alone.

interesting..I have some 36s I can put on, but over a pound heavier, as are lyriks - hence looking at 32QR15s..

Was the creaking a result of any structural damage, increased play?

Wonder if they plan to bring out a 32QR15 Kashima Van, im still tempted for the weight saving, to combat aging knees 🙂

Fox 32's are fine, plenty stiff enough. I had 36's on my previous Five and although they were stiff, they weighed a ton compared to the 32 RLC's I have on my new one.
