I have heard of it but never quite ventured that far. Rode mongenevre, Les orres and Vars but not crossed over into that bit of Italy.

Just wondering what folk think and if its worth a few days out?

It's "Ridden"

I was skiing in Bardonecchia a last year and the trails looked okay - certianlly a couple of days worth, but nobody in resort knew that they we're meant to be part of "Alpi bike Park" Pila is supposed to be pretty good, I know it's a bit further.

Wasn't there an article about it in the mag a few months/years back? should be available if you're a premium subscriber.

Maybe I'm imagining things.

7.33 onward

There is also Sestriere and Bardonecchia very close. Not ridden there but feedback is good, sort of less sculpted/busy than many of the French parks. Think the lift network is quite expensive though and the lifts open on a rota. Definately worth a few days I reckon, if the lift logistics work.

Riding is great, quiet resort with 3 lifts open to bikes if i remember correctly tracks are flowy and no brake bumps at all. we spent 3-4 days there and would return again.

DO NOT eat at Godfathers the owner will literally chuck plates at you

I think there's an article on Sauze on bikemagic at the moment.

I've heard good things about the riding there but I don't think many lifts run in summer.

Yes. Worth a day or two at the most.

Early in the season only the lower lift was open during the week - upper open at the weekend.

Always check with the local TIC before driving to any of the Alpi Bike Park 'resorts'. They will ring and check for you. Armed with some proper information you can combine Sause with Sestriere and Bardonecchia. And if you fancy the slightly longer haul you can add Prali to the list. (These are all lift assisted venues).

Any accommodation info or recommendations for SAUZE D'OULX?

Would like a two person self catered apartment in the centre of the resort?

Cheers guys, never really linked all of the other areas together that you mentioned but it seems to form a nice bunch of places all relatively close to each other

Just looking for options for this year really, Italy is great but done Pila a couple of times and while there are some great trails there its a bit limited really.

I had seen the bike magic link, it was that which jogged my mind about the place
