I did the off road coast to coast route last year in 5 days, was a right beasting! Cracking ride though. 8)
2 tips:Don't get a taxi in Whitehaven & take the offroad route out of Rookhope.
Is this the seascale to Whitby in a day event? If so, I am, with a couple of mates. Think walking might be a struggle next week.....
