Looks a good build - mostly XT and fox 36's. Priced well..... But it's 36lbs + pedals which seems about 10lbs more than I'd be aiming for.
Interested if anyone has one and how it rides. Can it be ridden all day?
Perhaps if you bought one,and took the battery and electric motor off,it would weigh less?
Or were you thinking of the Jam 6.8,which doesn't have the silly electrical bits on to start with, and looks a lot lighter ?
I don't think they make the Jam 9.8 anymore. the closest thing seems to be the 9.9 Drifter which is 23.5Kg with two batteries and 21Kg with only one....
The Jam and Jam2 are different bikes. the Jam is not an e-bike.
It's the 6.9 actually, my bad. I'm not interested in an e-bike.
The 6.9 looks a decent bike.
Well, this was my point. Perhaps a little lardy. Which is why I wanted to know if anyone had one or had experience of them. I'd imagine the wheels weren't too great, weight wise, but the XT kit and 36's seem good.
Seems to get decent reviews.
Looks like a decent bike in my mind. Everything you would want from a modern trail bike.
I wouldnt worry about the weight. You can probably strip a bit out of it with different wheels etc.

Well the LBS is getting a 6.9(XT Equipped Fox 36's) and expecting a large on the 13th of Oct so I've stuck my name down for it. Fingers crossed the large feels OK as I'm on the cusp of being perhaps too tall for the large but the XL might be a tad too big.
Isn't that the one with the vomiting turtle stem? Would put me off.
I generally ride a 40-50mm stem anyway. I actually quite like their thinking, trying something a little different. Of course I may regret this when I need to change a hose or gear cable! But considering the price, spec and scarcity of anything "better" it's this, or an uncomfortably long wait for something else. I think the wheels are crap but an easy upgrade.
Pretty sure Guy Kesteven has just reviewed the bike in the OP on Bikeperfect and his youtube. No doubt its amazing but still some useful insight.
It does sound a bit porky tbh - but it does have 36’s on it / it’s a 29er / I’ve no idea what the rims are but they could be carrying some weight. Exo+ rear tyre is probably reasonably heavy too.
My 27.5” trail bike with 150mm lyriks / Fox DHX2 coil / codes / xt / carbon cranks and bars / exo casing tyres / Hope hubs with XM481 rims comes in about 33lbs. Alloy frame that’s neither really heavy nor really light.
It depends what you mean by all day, it's not set up as a xc/downcountry style bike, or a light trail bike, it's like a heavy trail or mini enduro style bike, it weighs a bit as it's 12 speed, has the aluminium frame, 36s and quite heavy wheels, flip side is it's got the DPS, so rear can be locked out a bit, same with the 36s, but the wheels/tyres on it are heavy for an all dayer.
I see they're redesigned the jam, had an older one, pretty simple single pivot design, does the job and the new one looks a little like a commencal now, if the weight was to annoy you then wheels would be the big hit on that build, everything else is pretty much bombproof for heavy riding, i.e. XT 4pots, XT/deore 12 speeed, alu finishing kit and so on.
