I know its a footpath just wondered what the surface was like how rideable it is I know you will have to go around Berkley power station be on a cyclocross bike just did Gloucester to Sharpness on canal tow path and back today cheers.
It's rougher than the tow path from slimbridge to sharpness. Mostly grass on top of the embankment. Classic grass field footpath really. A little rutted in places and quite lumpy but pretty rideable. Best avoided when wet. Getting past the power station is easy. You can get by either side. If going the river side it's worth having a nose, the security system is impressive so eyes only.
