Skied there quite a bit, wondered what mtb is like?
Yeah, me.
Met a friend at the end of August. He had been working a season in Les Karellis as a mountain guide.
There's a small, but fun bike park with two decent lines with a fair bit of off piste.
We wanted to go over the Cenis pass but there was a massive landslide after a few days of heavy rain that blocked our way back....
We drove along that section the day before on the A-road blow the motorway
.....
Instead we visited the Opinel museum in St Jean de Maurienne and when the weather improved rode some trails around St Julien Mont Denis.

Very slatey area. The valley is very industrial, too, at least the lower half.
yes I have and there were a fair few trails
Just back from a few days New Year skiing there.
My lad has done http://www.transmaurienne-vanoise.com/ a couple of times. You might be able to find some of their routes on-line. e.g. https://www.strava.com/activities/9494019620
