Hiya Chaps,

I've got a Fox Float X which managed to get chipped in an off, and now it eats air can seals in a couple of weeks.

Has anyone has their shaft repaired/replaced after being damaged?

Cheers

Ricks

Buy a new body tube from fox/silverfish £31. Fit it and good to go.

You will need to rebuild the shock with fresh oil and new ifp and nitrogen mind so maybe use your local service center or fox/silverfish and have it serviced

My mate had a chip off the shaft on his shock, it was losing air when he rode the bike.
He got some ultra fine sandpaper and rubbed the affected area (like, twice)
Been fine since.
If you’re gonna spend £30 odd, might be worth trying that first.

Fine wet & dry, and nail varnish then smooth.
The shock will need to be serviced if you have the body tube replaced
