Does anyone own a Sonder Signal Ti and live near (ish) to London ? I'm 6:2ft (189cm) and going to place an order but torn over whether to get a large or XL. I am unable to get a demo sent out easily (parcel force never deliver outside of normal working hours!). I would love to meet if your out riding to check my size on the Sonder.
I normally ride fairly small frames and currently on a Giant Anthem (large) with is 20inch frame. Im keen to get the large Sonder but don't want to make the mistake of getting a bike too small.
thanks
I am 6ft and originally bought a Large Signal Ti frame, however the geometry didn't seem to match the specification (using tape measures and comparing against a similar frame).
I sent it back and got an XL, which I run with a 40mm stem, there is just enough seat post for a 170mm dropper.
The geometry of the XL was similar to other brands Large frames e.g. Pace, Cotic and Bird.
I'm 5ft10 and on the Large (well the albeit identical Titus Zestar)... The medium would have felt small to me. You'll want the XL I'm certain!
I'm 5'10 1/2. I bought a medium (like you, I'd always gone smaller rather than larger in the past) it was 10mm shorter than other 29ers I'd tried and been happy on, but as soon as I got built and hopped on, I thought "hmmm - should have gone for a large!" It wasn't a big problem, the bike was still fun, but the sweet spot between too far over the front and too far off the back was pretty small, and the size issue nagged away at me on most rides.
"Luckily" there was a frame alignment issue which meant the frame was taken back and I asked for a Large in return. It's always felt spot on to ride, and I've never thought I should have stuck with the smaller frame.
At 10cms taller than me, I'd be surprised if you didn't find the L too small.
Interesting... it’s an overwhelming “get the XL”... appreciate the feedback.
Yep I demoed a large and I'm 5'10"; you defiantly need an xl.
