Does anyone own a 19 or 20.5" 2013 Genesis High Latitude? Looking at the SS frame and though I ride a 19" the 20.5" has the right Effective TT length. So am undecided on which size to go for.
If so could you measure the C to C measurement and stand over for me please?
Thank you
Dave
Bump in the hope someone can answer as Genesis haven't got back to me.
It may not be as straight forward as effective TT. More often than not, the front centre (distance between BB and front hub) that plays quite a significant role in how the bike feels.
The Eff TT will give you an indication, but you may find that a bike will feel ok with a similar front centre to what you're used to.
if you can swing your leg over both that would be the best bet.
You could try mailing a couple of ppl on this thread, but a per LW it's only one part of a jigsaw.
i've got one - a 20.5"
it's ace.
don't forget that the seattube is a little bent, so a simple measurement off the frame won't tell you what's going on up at saddle height.
don't forget that the toptube slopes, so a 'standover' measurement is also a little tricky to sum up with one number (i can measure it at the front or back, whatsyer fancy?)
i've got really long legs (36" inside leg), the 20.5" would be a bit on the big side for anyone not as blessed as i,
did i say that it's ace?
Cheers guys. I fully intend to try one before I part with my cash.
Z1ppy, cheers for the link, how the hell I missed that thread I've no idea. I don't think the search function likes me!
Ahwiles, thanks for the offer, but by your description, a 20.5" is going to be massive as I only have a 32" inside leg.
