Anyone have an alternative for the i-spec A nut? I don;'t want to pay £9 for it if I can help it!

Complete bloody ripoff aren't they? It's only 20 quid more to get an xt shifter included!

One of mine dropped out during the Dirty Reiver and it fitted back perfectly using a zip tie. Learning my lesson, for the Tour Divide I used threadlock and now the bloody thing won't come undone!

If you Google M5 slot nut, it'll bring a few different types up. I wouldn't think you'd get the exact same thing, but you can try.

Might file down an m5 counter sunk bolt like this guy:

To close this I just filed down a counter sunk bolt like in this video.

A little fiddly to assemble but works great.
