You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
A longshot I know, but Eurostar have stated that they're going to restart taking fully assembled bikes on the London Paris route.
Anyone on here able to drop any hints about when that may happen?
I hear from industry sources that this would be after the December timetable change.
Beware though - I understand that they will be charging for the privilege in the region of £50/€50 minimum but it will be demand based (ie on a busy Friday afternoon it will likely cost more, the £50/€50 would likely be on the quietest days/times).
I've been looking for an Alps trip and it seems almost pointless at the moment. You can take a bike (in a bag or box) but can't book it until you've paid for your tickets, at which point you have to fill in a form send it to them to see if you can have the pleasure of paying them to take a bike. If you can't you're stuck with tickets that aren't of any use any more. Bloody genius plan that.
@mrhoppy I agree, it's less than ideal, although apparently that also is going to change.
@whyterider93 thanks that's what I was wanting to know.
They have been saying they'll be doing it soon for the past 2 years. I gave up holding my breath and abandoned plans for a french cycle. Will be nice when they finally get it sorted
