Plenty of room out back and I guess it would ride ok, might even bring the trail to life!
But why?
Why not?
Isn't the bottom bracket already on the high side?
Isn't the bottom bracket already on the high side?
I'd be thinking this^; but it does rather depend on what 650b tyres your planning to shove on.
I'm running 26" Conti's which are tall anyway, and I limit my Fox 36 fork to 130mm travel to stop the bottom bracket from feeling on the high side. I would not want to do anything that would raise the bottom bracket any more... but that's just my opinion 🙂
"Anyone made a Pluepig 650b?"
Is this really a benefit?
I can understand 650b & definitely 29" (as I have one)
But, cramming 650b wheels on a 26" specific frame - I assume you have to run a narrower tyre (less volume) for clearance......
= not much gain?
Don't have a pig but the clearance on the ti and bop are immense so I'm pretty sure it'd go, even with a big tyre. You'd be the only person in the entire bike industry going "Let's raise the BB!" though, except for Geoff Apps.
You can get a 26" 2.4 Conti RQ on a 28mm internal rim, out back with room to spare (On a Mk1 BP) that's any help ?
Stacks of clearance 😀
