Just had a call from a mate at work who has just recovered a Trek Fuel 9.8 oclv sporting some crank bros cobalt wheels.

Anyone aware of a missing one in the Manchester area?

Recovered from where?

I am guessing your friend is connected to the Police.

Not necessarily my Dear Dr Watson
It may also be stolen and a witty ruse to put you of the scent. Wheelie bins can and will continue to be commoditized as they have an inherent value.

This isn't the one that was taken off someone by force in Wharncliffe, Sheffield then?

Nope. Taken from a burglary in Lancashire around 8 months ago.

And now he has got it back. 8)

Would you have to inform insurance company if you had already received a cheque to cover loss?

Basically skolt, yes. Although in this chaps case his losses were far higher than the insured amount so we've been grown up about it. I've returned the bike to him and notified him to contact this insurer. Which he should do because I have notified his reporting police force to let them know that one of his bikes has been recovered.
