As above really. Have got an old tandem that I'm trying to give a bit more stopping power so after some basic, but in good nick, v brakes. Ideally the whole set up - front and back with levers.
Anyone seen any crazy good deals anywhere? Or have something knocking around in the shed they want gone?
I bought a full set of deore v brakes with levers for not very much money last year. Can't remember how much or where from, but definitely cheap and they work just fine.
edit: it was on ebay.

All metal, easy to set up, nice levers. I really don't think you could get anything better for the price.
robdob wins, that is dirt cheap 🙂
I reckon they are as good as Deore too - the levers probably better than Deore.
I've got a set you can have in my garage. Levers for flat bars and 'callipers'. I've never used them, they came on my Roadrat but I put disc brakes on as soon as I got it. If you're interested drop me a note - i'll dig them out and take a couple of shots if you want.
