Are you actually going to elaborate on what he has done, or do we need to sign up to Insta to get it...

Smashed the bars off the fencing on one side so he could fit his bike through without lifting it.

sorry

for context Aston bike park are rebuilding after 6 odd years of closure

the pushup is a footpath (in parts shared with golfers)  and a few other footpaths cross the area

this guy kicked down the bars on a staggered gate across the footpath so he could get through without having to lift his bike

this guy kicked down the bars

And bashed it with a rock as well.

I am assuming they decided it was an illegally blocked bridleway since the amount of effort they put in far outweighed a bit of bike manoeuvring.

Obviously wanting to get the Strava KOM

Im very impressed by the amount of effort given he could have just ridden around it

The true shocking conclusion from the vid is that even d!ick Ed’s ride bikes

Very considerate of him to pile the debris up neatly afterwards, including the hefty log. Its almost like he had a conscience. Dickhead.

When the login/create an account pop up appears, there is a X top right which closes that pop up and plays the video. At least it does for me.

We've had this locally too, a lovely skinny wee bit of singletrack that crosses a couple of fence lines.

Gates are provided but are quite narrow, and someone has left a very incriminating and very fat set of tyre prints up to and beyond a flattened section of fence beside the gate where they clearly couldn't or wouldn't lift their bike over a 3ft fence 🙄

I guess the perspective of the video must make it look different, but can't you just ride around that gate anyway?

What an extraordinary amount of effort - that ‘gate’ should be replaced with steel handrail type poles, the uprights concreted in, then the horizontal poles just clamped.

All numbnuts there had to do was grab the back brake and hoik the bike vertical, then just roll it through the chicane; it would have taken him 15 seconds, twenty at most, now he’s got a target on his back for being a total knob head! 😒

Actually, thinking about it, the best replacement would be using recycled plastic posts and boards, which I’ve seen used a lot for signposts on cycle routes and footpaths, the horizontal boards could be slid through slots in the posts, then doweled in place - there wouldn’t be any future problems with the posts rotting, and anyone trying that little trick would be on a hiding to nothing, and would probably hurt themselves as well, which is fine by me; FAAFO. 🙃

It’s not like Amflow’s are particularly heavy e-bikes. What kind of asshole does something like this?

anyway, I posted it on eMTb forums as well
