I've never used/ridden or know much about the model so if anyone here has and can give a recommendation, or advise to avoid like the plague it'd be appreciated. It'll be used for what's it's intended, so just looking for any positives about either, or horror stories about the frames etc.

Those are two different travel versions of the same bike. The meta sl frame is 120 And the full bike is 140+.
Yeah he's not sure which one to go for just yet, but if anyone had any info on how good or bad they were as a frame, or if their build went wrong then it'd be good to know and avoid the same fate. I'm steering him toward the bigger fork and a trip to the Alps 😀
