Got myself a set tan wall Nobby Nics for my new Nordest build, I'll be honest, when I bought them I didn't notice that they aren't TLE but have persevered with my Stans fluid but now going to give up on them and replace them with some TLE NN's off one of my other bikes.. (don't even own any inner tubes anymore) 🙂

Before I do are there any tubeless fluids that are particularly good for converting non tubeless tyres?

P.S
I'm also quite surprised that Schwalbe still sell tyres that aren't tubeless compatible

Managed to fit the G-One 40c onto the Mavic Allroads with Stan's and Finish Line sealant as well. Not the easiest task but they went on and eventually sealed well.

I just slung in some stans and have gave them a good spin. Not a problem.

Skinwall, no, liteskin, yes.

They do often lose a bit of pressure until the gunk has sloshed around for a while (i.e. take them for a quick ride as soon as they're up).

p.s. I've not found them any harder to actually seat than TLE ones. Just keeping the air in once they're up.

More sealant than you’d usually use n I think they should seal

Thanks chaps, I'm not missing anything then 🙁

I should probably clarify, the tyres have been on for over a week and about 3 rides. They've had/got 2 or 3 times as much sealant as normal. After a lot of faff I got them to seal enough to hold air, enough for me to be confident to take them for a ride. Its then out on a ride when they lose air, I'm working on the theory that its when the sidewalls flex that they dump air.
The final straw was on a rutted decent of Butser Hill at about 30mph when the rear tyre went totally flat. I pumped it up and it pretty much stayed up for the rest of the ride, that was Sunday and even now its not totally flat. It was the front that went next so its not a specific tyre either.

Thanks.
