As above,  has anyone had any luck getting a brand X dropper replaced? and would you waste the postage cost trying to get warranty on this? I bought it from UBYK in may last year.

Cheers

I warrantied one after 20 months for rotation like that and the fact the head of the post was creaking.

I took a refund in gift vouchers at CRC as I had already bought a one up as a replacement.

Mine got a bit wobbly, both fore / aft & rotational. I spoke to CRC who said send it back for warranty. I weighed up the pros & cons of postage costs & of being without my dropper. I ended up buying the Pro Koryak kit from eBay for £15 and serviced it myself. Its much better now, but not 100% perfect, i can live with it.

Mine was similar to yours after 6 months

I returned it to CRC and they sent me out a brand new one straight away

Took around 4 days from me posting it out to the new one arriving

One year on and its still going strong

Don't understand the first video. The second, I have two brand x droppers (One two years old, the other one) and they both have a bit of wiggle. Never bothered me and they still function fine.

Sorry, the first one was to show that its started to sound quite squelchy but it doesn't com across as loud in the clip.

Nope, mine had none for about 6 months and then has gradually got worse.

Cheers for rest of the posts also. I have another bike so I can cope without it for a week or so.

Cheers

Ok, ta, that's good to know. I should be able to send both of ours back then 🙂

My Pro Koryak is like that, it's 18 months old, I'll just new seals and keys when I can be arsed, it's an easy job (easier on a X with the silly Shimano head thing I'd guess).

They'll probably change it, but IMHO It's normal wear ans tear once you've seen how they work and it seems a shame to landfill it for the sake of £15 a couple of brass 'keys'.

Doesn't look like much rotation. Mines is like that as are most droppers of the folk I ride with too over a number of dropper brands.

Mine does.... until now I haven't worried about it and it hasn't stopped me using it. It's about 12 months old.

Kits are easy to find if you search for "Pro Koryak Seal Kit" rarely pics but it's a seal for the top, the two plasic bushes and the keys.

Cheers for that. Weird thing is I've disassembled my dropper and the keys don't even look worn, did yours look very worn when you did them?

They’d lost their sharp edges perhaps.

TBH I opened it up to asses what it needed, cleaned and regreased it and it was a lot better, so I haven’t bothered with it since. My issues seem be caused by a worn seal, it’s very slowly losing its grease. I will fit new ones soon, maybe this weekend.
