I'm looking for an all round trail bike that will also handle some enduro events and this looks like a bargainlicious contender.
Anyone know where I can test ride one???
where are you?
one for the southerners then... 😉
I've owned one since June and love it, far more capable a bike than i am a rider. Use it mainly for general trail riding around the Quantocks & Exmoor. It's a good climber as well as an excellent descender, the 1 x 11 set up is perfect for me. If i had to be picky the only complaint i would have is the Guide R brakes. After being on my other bike with XT brakes they seem more vague although I've never had any problems stopping.I was a bit dubious going for a 150mm suspension bike as I'm not generally down hill orientated but this bike well controlled and you never feel over biked if that makes sense. Size wise I'm 6' and have a 20'' which is perfect for me. I got mine from UK Bike Depot who were offering good deals at the time.
Catchy name

I think most Shomano users will feel this way, as they're highly modulated, and not on/off.
It's a bit like if you were to use your clutch pedal foot on the brake, that's how Sram users would feel using Shimanos for the first time.
I've come off Shimano and Hope and onto the Guide RS, I was ready to hate them. But they're a good brake, feel a bit mass produced like Shimanos, but have a good level of modulation, so you can feather them down pretty steep muddy descents without locking up.
Great bike, gearing will get up pretty much anything. Flies up and flies down (or would do if I wasn't such a biffer.)
I'm only 5'9" but on the 20" because the rest of the geo adds up. The seat tube is actually only 18" though - check out the measurements properly.
