Need a few new riding socks and these looked cool, some reviews looked good but the reviews on Trustpilot absolutely trash them for quality and customer service. Anyone with first hand experience before I buy half a dozen pairs of cool looking socks that fall apart in 5 minutes?

I just can't believe the number of adverts I see for them, how can a brand selling only socks afford to advertise so much??

I've always wondered - presumably enough of us are intrigued to actually buy them to see.

Wife bought me some last christmas, colours faded very quickly. Sock itself seems OK but not worth what they charge. You can get merino rapha ones for cheaper, that says it all.

I have some and really like them for both riding and mooching, as well as summer walks where I wear trainers/approach shoes. They seem very breathable as they’re good to wear for longer periods without my feet getting stinky or uncomfortable. The oldest pair are holding up well (a gift) so I bought some more on a 4 for 3 offer. Yeah they’re expensive but unless I got lucky with the first pair I’d buy more in the future. Deffo ‘go-to’ socks as they’re always at the top of the pile.

EDIT they lost longer than PX merino socks but not 5 x longer.

I got some for Christmas last year - nice socks, but the colours faded really quickly. Disappointing…

I have some, as others have said, comfy by faded/shrunk quickly.

I have some Galibier ones which has lasted much better:
White - https://www.galibier.cc/product/ardennes-blancsock/
Black - https://www.galibier.cc/product/ardennes-noir-sock/
For the cold: https://www.galibier.cc/product/firefeet/

Be warned they size up a little big, I normally wear large in everything else but Medium in these

Thanks all, that's hardly glowing endorsements so will give it a miss, shame as loved the look of the designs!

Quite possibly only paying for people who click on the ad to buy socks, rather than every time you view the ad.

Can I recommend Velochampion? I bought 6 pairs of riding socks, all the same style/colour last year for £12. That’s a pound a sock and they’ve been great, highly recommended.

I’ve had a couple of pairs for about a year now, mine look as good as the day I got them and they are the best socks I’ve had, lovely fit and just feel really nice. I must have got lucky!

I’ve had a couple of pairs - nice colours (which seem to hold up) but one pair got a hole at the toe end after maybe 2 rides max.

The fit was good, so a shame one went so quickly. On that basis, I’d probably not bother again (though they do keep spamming me with discount codes).

I've got a couple of pairs that are holding up well. Colours have been fin and they are still the same shape as when I bought them, which is more than I can say for a lot of socks.

Morvelo socks are on 3 for 2 at the moment.
Still £20 for 3 pairs, mind.

I have several pairs. At first I found black detailing ran into the white of the sock, I.e. the colour ran. Customer service wasn’t terribly helpful.
However I had another pair and started hand washing them after that and they were fine. I then realised they were my favourite socks and have bought several more pairs.

I bought 3 pairs, one shrunk in the wash, two are absolutely fine, think they shrunk in the wash may have been my fault….wouldn’t be surprised if they accidentally ended up in the tumble drier.
I now just wear DH Sport socks from Amazon. Nice colours. Think I got 5 pairs for about £20.

Nicest socks I've had have been Rapha, bought as a joke when the brand was still quite young and wanted to burst the hype/cost bubble, but just felt really nice and hard wearing.

I have a pair of Galibier Firefeet or whatever they are called, also lovely, quite warm, but I get the feeling some of the glowing reviews were written by people that use overshoes below 10° and Zwift if their car suggests an ice warning.
