There is ( admittedly ) [url= http://www.whiteind.com/images/ENO_ECC_OVERHAUL_INSTRUCTIONS_4_.pdf ][b]a good PDF[/b][/url] of how to do it but I don't know if I'm supposed to knock the axle through the other side or tap in the dowling and pull out the bearing on the same side.

I've done mine a couple of times. Pretty sure you knock the axle through, it's a while since I've done it though.
