Preferably 125mm or so for 30.9 to 34.9?

USE ones are well made and the longest I've used (not sure if they're that long though).

I have just googled this for 31.6 to 27.2

The longest i could find was 140mm and was sold by Evans for their Pinnacle bikes i think.

From the use site...

Our shims are made to 100mm length and are longer than other shims on the market giving your seat post much better support inside the frame

So not quite 125mm. Any reason why that length?

Had the exact same search trying to shim a dropper as I wanted the shim to go past the top tube on my mates boardman

Such an item doesn't exist unfortunately, not for the sizes you are after. 10cm was longest available.

Maybe stick 2 together?

Why that length?

Just feel happier with all the support possible given the historical issues of shims and frame cracking...

Checked Planet X but 30.9 max.

Makes sense. Agree that USE are probably the longest I know of but also that modern frame designs are requiring much longer shims according to conventional logic. On the other hand, is conventional thought about 100mm insertion below bottom of TT join still valid? Looking at current styles whether gracefully swoopy buttressed ST reinforcement or ugly utilitarian brace, the sheer amount of ST above TT on many bikes surely makes this rule near impossible to stick with. Is the reinforcement to sort this problem while getting the tubes where they’re wanted for modern geo or is it general strengthening that shouldn’t be counted on for iffy post insertions?

This any good to you? I have the 31.6 one in my liteville with a 150mm dropper.

(I know it says 31.6 in the title but it is the 30.9 one according to the description.)

Yes, the Syntace ones, like Welshfarmer said ^^^. I’m using one with a 170mm OneUp dropper - they’re 140mm long

On my fatty I put bubble wrap down the seat tube to stop shims falling down and then  used 3 on the length of the seat post.
