Its more of a checklist type thing i was after.
Do retailers have a checklist of parts to check on a bike before it gets sent to a customer? Its been so long since i bought a complete bike i cant remember if theres something like that in the box?

My recent purchase came with one... however the gears needed re-indexing out of the box so the tick next to gears checked was questionable

Halfords do. In my experience they tick the boxes whether they've checked the parts or not.
