looking at replacing my helmet with one of the above, bell super looks favourite but feature looks ok too....any experiences of either?
my experience: buy one that fits.
so with ref to my post above and my question, any experience of either?
I've got a Feature.
Fits very nice, well made but not as well vented as my Xen. I use it for Trail Centres and when it's cold....
since when did experience of the subject matter to an opinion of Als?
I've got a Feature.
Fits my head awsum.
Does that help?
i love this site, I haven't even mentioned 'fit' in my post simply asked if anyone had one and their experience of said helmet, ie "it was rubbish it fell apart in 3 days" or "really well made with a clever easy to adjust retention system etc etc" or "i'd avoid as it gave me rotational injuries i'd still be alive if only I'd listened to teej"
i didn't ask how well will either of these two helmets fit my head.
chris db thanks for your reply.
I have the Feature and really like it, great fit for me, nice and light. Never had a problem with it being to warm, like the wheel tension system and the added protection it gives over a xc lid.
Like the look of the Bell one but don't think they are out till next year.
mmm that'll be why i can't see any super's for sale then!
Heres me in my Giro Feature
I had just come off BTW , goid helmet though if a little warm
I did try a Feature actually, it was too round for my head, like most Giros, and was thus rejected for poor fit!
I have a Feature - replaced a Fox Flux. I like a lot, more secure and reminds me of my old Giro Semi MX which I loved.
Not tried the Bell, sorry
Bell Super due out in Spring 2013.
Have had a Feature for a while now it's my go-to helmet
The Feature is a bit basic but Giro have put the effort in where it counts. The shell/liner/padding are just great - very good quality nicely made & accurate etc. Not as well ventilated as an XC lid but there is a flow of air when you're moving. Coverage is excellent and the rudimentary retention system accomodates various haircuts etc but doesn't have to do a great deal because the helmet fits over your head, not on it.
The only let down is the straps are thin and basic and there are no under-ear adjusters.
Looks great in metallic olive green
