Hi all

I'm considering a Specialized Enduro Comp 29er 2018 which is on sale for 33% off. Does anyone have one of them or experience of the new version of the Enduro? My intended use is Tweed Valley trails but thinking the big wheels give some longer legs to the bike for day rides too.

Any thoughts?

Cheers Paul

I've got an 27.5 Enduro, Tried it on a test day organised by JE James last October, and I went to try the Oreba Rallon (and was looking to buy one). I rode the Spesh becasue it was there, and I wanted to ride as many as I could. Wasn't expecting much from it, as I've never been keen on Spesh bikes, but TBH, It's bloody amazing.

Yes, a bit of that is new bike buzz, but it's a very versatile bike, you can set it up to by an all dayer, or a very capable "park" bike. Suspension's really excellent, it fits (obviously that's a bit subjective) very happy.

Got both the 650b and 29er in the garage so get to throw my leg over both. Last year due to logistics I ended up riding the 29er in locations that I dint think I would be comfortable with due to the trail conditions. Rode it most of the summer in Italy, France, Switzerland, Spain and back in Italy.
I enjoyed it so much that the 650b didn't get ridden by me and I need to get round to stripping it and selling it on

Got a 2017 enduro elite? 29er. (Carbon back end)

Caveat... my other bike was 10 years old and a bit knackered and shit. I'm not a tecno weeny by any stretch.

The Enduro is amazing. Ought through stuff up and down. Like a magic carpet. Gutted I couldn't take it to the alps last year but in finale it rocked.

Short uphill it dances over, but anything more than 10 hm gets utterly exhausting due to the weight.

You near Manc?

My mate has a 2017 Enduro Expert. Its a lot of bike and if im honest, i think its a bit too much for 90% of our riding (Peaks etc). Its a bit "dead" feeling and needs a lot of input when going downhill to get it to wake up. By comparison im on a Hightower with 150mm 36s and that feels a lot more lively.

Frame will be sold with either an Ohlins air or new Rockshox air. Far too light to get the best out of a coil.

Just thought I should revisit this thread briefly after my weekend ride.

Taking my Giant Anthem round the Peak on Saturday reinforced just how amazing the specialised enduro is. Fair enough they are completely different bikes for completely different uses but the experience made me realise just how good the spec is.

Buy one.
