As per the title really, or.....anyone fancy riding the first half (or so) of the SDW as an alternative?
Was planning on heading out from my place in west Sussex early on sat, in order to ride the route on the singletrack routes section (prob the bigger one...)
But with all this mention of the south downs way going on, an alternative would be to park up at mine, grab an early train to Winchester, and cycle back to mine..... I live a few miles off the SDW, and it's mostly offroad back to mine.
IF you don't sound like a complete weirdo (or are as equally weird as me...) and you've got a bit of a forum presence, then I'm likely to have an empty house on Friday, so could offer a floor/bed space if needed.......
