Not wishing to add to the thread that morphed off into a build, I wondered if it's just me. Ordered Tues, no emails for dispatch but based on others experience, every hopeful.

Have a box full of parts and a fridge full of beer! C'mon delivery van get your skates on....

I bought a 2nd hand Solaris Max last year for my daughter. Fair to say I've ridden it more than her! Bit small for me tho, so I've ordered a new Longshot version. In black obviously.

And thanks to Wil's review. I'm going to fit it with a set of 140mm 27.5 boost forks with a 2.8 tyre which should give me 120mm 29 A-C with 140mm travel. Best of both worlds 🙂 I have a 130mm Fox Float 34 29 to go on there when I want to run 29 in the winter, but - if it's like my current one - much prefer it chubby.

Rekon+ - ran these on my Mojo3 and FlareMax as well. They come up nice and wide on my 42mm rims.. I was running them around 13psi on the one up there ^^^ - in local woods tho not on rocky terrain.

I'm around for a joint shake down ride next week, if you're up for it. I've only spent half an hour on mine so far. Just enough to find out what I hadn't tightened properly.

Hi Kelvin. Later in the week that would be good. Not back until Weds PM tho...

Frame arrived but too much stuff going on to build it tonight. Looks fab. Just compared it to my Med V1 - it is quite a lot longer which is what I wanted but less tall which is also what I wanted. 170mm dropper coming I think.

So so what colour did you go for in the end then, spangly black?

170mm dropper on mine. Could take a  200mm easy.

Oh, went for Dark Metal in the endl… forks looked better with it. Cosmic Black really wants lovely new black stanchions, which I couldn't afford for this build.

Not a great pic, but the paint is fab. Speckled gold with black. Very JPS F1. I decided not to spend £80 on the invisitape but will protect top tube and a few other bits

When it’s built I’ll see if I can get a 200mm dropper on there. One of the reasons to go for a medium was to run the biggest dropper possible. Might be a slight delay as my 44mm bottom cup spare was for a straight steerer 😉
