"No need to let go of the bars, I can still ride this out"

He's looking very stoic, it has to be said.

Front flip? Smooth moves! 😀

Tell me there is a nice deep pool of water just out of frame, otherwise, that is going to ****in hurt 😯 , was he OK afterwards?? 😯

He appears to be spotting his landing pretty well though...

Probably why they work best in snow/soft sand

P.s. just noticed the canti brakes! Brave

hmmmmm, not on an on one but Johnclimber had a winter spell in hospital two years ago whilst tackling the freeride course and Llandegla on his fat bike. I won't post up a picture of his strapped to the stretcher 😆

just noticed the canti brakes

The straddle cable probably caught on the tyre and flipped him

looks photoshopped.
see how both his feet appear to be a the same angle?

It's not photoshopped.

Highlights are correct as there's a single light source
All the spokes are accounted for
The way the tshirt is hanging around his neck suggests he's not upright.

So it's a bona-fide image.

His face suggests he's resigned to his fate and is willing to take a face full of dirt.

Wouldn't have happened if he had been a proper fatbiker and had a beard.

You know I'm right.

He was absolutely fine til the back tyre landed on him and crushed him flat.

That look is concentration... it's hard to tell in that picture but he is actually travelling from right to left and has pulled off half of a frontflip-nofoot-360-combo.

Thanks everyone for the concern, my friend Tony was basically OK. From here he went completely over and landed right on his back, scraped it up somewhat but no face plant. He also got a decent bruise on his knee, probably from the bar or frame. All in all, a lucky crash!

Lucky indeed.

Was he too shy to tell you what the saddle did to him?

yeah ok, thought it was a one off event, if it's an ongoing thing fair enough you'll want your own name.

evening entertainment at mayhem or something...
sounds a good laugh, how many practice goes do you get or is it a 1 shot deal? I'm not an event regular but I'd be interested.
