Would it warrant hiring a DH rig or would a Scott Genius 40 do the trick (as I am going to hire that one for the week? )

*s****s*
aww though I got a reply then 😉 It means shady mountain IIRC 😉
rig
*s****s too*
never ridden a genius but most bikes are more capable than (I) think - unless you're planning rgging the arse off it I'd guess it'd be OK if not ideal
BUT
this was interesting the other day
no it doesn't warrent a full on dh rig, i did it on a cove gspt. my friend was on an sx trial, there is leogang bike park in the next valley and the addidas slopestyle park just up the road, leogang would be good on a dh bike.
do you have accom sorted, i know a really nice place just at the bottom of the xline just next to the schattberg lift
Sorry rig = me bigging it up 😉 Silly term no? 😉
Yeh got accom sorted - going with a very cheap deal with Neilson with my wife who is not FR/XC/DH but will do some easy cycling as she has hip problems at the mo. Staying at a very nice hotel full-board for not a lot 🙂
Will probably try an join some guided rides - Up for FR/XC and tech riding but prob not full on DH as don't want to worry my wife 😉
Any recommendations for guiding?
TBH, you don't really need any guiding, you are not allowed to ride on footpaths over there, they are quite strict on it too. Most of the bike tracks are marked.
*s****s further at "Schatberg"*
It's Schattberg not Schatberg 😉
Ahh no I was going to join up with guides so I don't ride alone - tis all 🙂
