A group of three of us are riding Veneto Trail this year, really looking forward to it and the Dolomites scenery looks stunning, any one ridden it before, or riding this year?

Any tips, or places that are good to bivvy or places not to miss?

Plenty of places to resupply food?

I rode the 2017 route in 2018 in September as a tour. It was ace. We stayed in refugios and it worked a treat. Rifugio Mezzo Miglia was a real highlight. Loads of places to get food and drink along the way. The 2025 route is different from the one we rode as we took in the likes of Agordo and Alleghe. We rode under the Vajont Dam which suffered a landslide in the early sixties which killed some 2500 people. I wrote about the adventure for the mag. Rode the Tuscany Trail in October and its was also a blast. It is in the next issue of the mag.

Tips. Fair bit of climbing on the route. Some of the tracks are super rough and sliced a Schwalbe tyre and also gave me multiple punctures despite running tubeless. Enjoy the scenery as it is brilliant so don’t rush it.

Thanks for replying Sanny - will have a look at the articles, it was a toss up between Veneto Trail and Tuscany trail - photos of Veneto won out.. have previously done Torino-Nice rally and ranked it was one of the best things i've done.
