Been looking at the cytronex kit and it alsoalso seems than cyclocity do one about half the price but doesn't seem the cyclocity one suits anything that's not square taper.

I'm thinking about it for commuting.  I still want to be able to do turbo sessions and other training in tbe evenings etc so I want to keep the commute as easy as possible.  And yes, I could just ride slowly on a normal bike, but I haven't got the time, so was hoping an ebike kit might speed up the journey but with a decrease in effort.

Either than or looking at something like the orbea gain.  But I have a donor bike already and £1800 for a Claris equipped bike, even an ebike one, seems a little steep.

Never seen one of those before!  But £1750 and calipers only 🙁

I need it for a bike with discs.

How far and is it hilly?

Just curious as the speed restriction appears to make road e-bikes a bit pointless on flat commutes.

Or were you gonna go rogue and avoid the restriction? I've seen a guy doing about 25mph without pedaling on some self-adapted monstrosity locally.

It's about 13 miles, so about 40-45 mins going (flat/downhill) and more like 45-50 on the way home (flat/uphill) on the way back.  Thats taking it steady.  The main thing is I want to lower my effort, 45 mins is about as quick as it usually is in the car, so if it was 45 mins and less effort, I'd still be happy.
