Held on the playing fields of my old school. I will be helping out on the BMBO stand at the event on Sunday and hope to see some of the action. Anyone else making the trip?

Depends how it stays between now and then. Has dried out a fair bit over past couple of days. Rain forecast next few days but not huge amounts. Will give an update on Friday! Course is going to be either flat (playing fields) or real steep (banks between fields on different levels). PLus the big bank up top where we weren't allowed to play!! 🙂

I'll be there on the Sunday, pit crew for one of our club juniors in the morning and then sticking around to watch the senior races in the afternoon. Wellies and waterproofs at the ready for the morning, cowbell for the afternoon.

Yes, OH is riding on Saturday morning and I'm in the last race on Sunday afternoon. Teammates racing at other times on Saturday as well so it's a busy old weekend. Abergavenny is a great course, one of the few that is equally good wet or dry.

"equally good wet or dry"

OK for Griffos then?

In terms of making a good race - if you think Griffos are going to be fine then let me know who you are so I can avoid you at the first corner 😆

In that case:

a) You're in the old boys race rather than mine so first-corner issues won't be a problem.
b) You know damn well what Abergavenny is like.
c) Can you fill in my assessment sheet at some point?

Cheers
Lee x 😀

I'm marshalling Sunday, I'll be the one with the beard and one slinged armed. I'll clap extra hard with the good hand.

Any news from there?
Hoping Ian & Helen could both retain their titles as they both do a sterling job over here in Belgium

Belgian champs were a great race
Won't mention the winner in case someone plans to watch online recording

Yep, both retained. Both winning by a country mile. Was a good cold wind blowing today but meant the course was dryish, fast and grippy by the afternoons' elite races. Was well organised from where I was standing and looking like hell on wheels 🙂 Total respect for those who took part. Didn't realise they were allowed to change bike every lap to allow the pit crew to wash the mud off ready for the next lap. Was good bit of TV coverage on S4C. Maybe it will be on catch up viewing???

The Belgium race was bloody brilliant!

Well done to Ian and Helen!

Hope tomorrow fairs better for the U.S. ones, too much mud and rain, really WTF!

You can do it twice per lap if you have enough bikes/staff/money. Ultimately though most folk didn't change that often this weekend as it wasn't that bad really, for cross.

Bloomin' great event. Well done to Ian the organiser and all the crew who helped. Really first class job by all made for a superb course with some good racing. If you've not watched Clwb on S4C already then you should.

Cracking weekend all round (apart from my dismal showing but that's life). Took a ride round the course at first light on Saturday and it was a swamp, then by yesterday afternoon it was really fast but quite grippy in places. Some real racing skills required to pass people and make it stick.

Seeing Tim Gould back where he belongs was the top highlight but the Nick/Tom Craig double-act was a close second.

Don't forget cheeky Charlie Craig in under 14 who was 3rd!
Then Nick getting 7th in Elite men!

Also I did witness Nick hitting the deck on a corner, if I didn't see it myself I would not believe it!

Tracy "So Enduro" Moseley having a great start and a good race.

But hats of to Ian, Helen and Nikki who just head & shoulders above the rest, just shows racing at the top world level really does help.
