I've been thinking about getting a ridiculously light, long, and indeed expensive dropper post, and the Vecnum Nivo seems to fit the bill.
The wife is currently in Nürnberg and I'm thinking that if I mail order it to be delivered to her there then she can claim the MVS ( or whatever VAT is called) at the airport on departure.
It's been years since I did similar, with a kayak at Kristiansand about 20 years ago so I'm deeply out of practice.
Anyone done this recently?
Anyone done this recently?
Has anyone done it ever? If you claim the vat back there you need to pay it here so its not like you'll be better off.
Anyway...

Good chance he will have to pay the VAT when entering the UK so could pay it twice if it isn't reclaimed on exit. I haven't done it. But surely customs at departure would be able to sort it out? Many shops will sell it to you without VAT if you are exporting it. EDIT> NO they won't, but they will make sure you have the right documents to reclaim it at departure. It is all there in that link above ^^^^
