First time I've used them in a couple of years....
I made a purchase from them last week, and though I got a confirmation email of the purchase, I never received a confirmation of postage or a tracking number.
No reply to emails (yet anyway!) and obviously no package yet.
Anyone else had issues with them? They're not another phantom stock seller like Tredz are they?
Not that recent but in August I bought a bike from Rutland and it arrived in 3 working days.
I bought a bike and some accessories from them last week. No issues, best give them a call.
I bought something from them this week. Ordered on Sat and it gave a delivery day for Wednesday. I hadn't received a dispatch notice from them by Wed morning so I emailed them just to enquire on the status of the order. Got home from work and the package had arrived and then that evening got an email reply saying it should have been delivered.
So all in all, pretty good service, but perhaps they need to work on their dispatch notices.
I bought a bike two years ago.
I've had three warranty issues.
One (BB died in 3 weeks) they just ignored.
They lied to me multiple times over a set of brakes. It took nearly 4 weeks for them to even contact Madison.
The replacement brakes then failed were then delayed weeks. Apparently neither Rutland or Madison can source a set of Deore brakes. 🙄 Apparently that's not a lie either.
I'd not buy off Rutland ever again.
A shame, as I've had two bikes and a good few clothes off them before.
Spend 1million quid get 10pence in points off next order.
Yeah right rutland! 🙄
Well still no answer to email(s) after 2 days. Phone not answered this afternoon (Friday afternoon, so maybe they all clocked off early?), and still no package after 7 days.
Cheers Rutland cycles, you're a bit crap aren't you.
I’ve bought two bikes off them and couldn’t have had better service. Frame on my first giant deft I bought from them two years ago cracked at seattube junction. From email to whole bike being sent(they organised everything) and new frame rebuilt with all my bits was around 6 days.
Well chuffed
Hmmm, an update on this.
Turns out the item wasn't actually in stock (though it was listed as such) and they are currently trying to 'procure' it.
So it seems like they're doing a Tredz and letting you order out of stock items and then scrabbling around to find them with the supplier. Shit-sticks.
My order last week turned up in 3 days. Bonus points were 10%, pretty happy as goods were full price everywhere.
Matt, was caught in the same Shimano brake shortage a few years ago. Mate owns the bike shop I use , and he resorted to ordering from CRC because Madison couldn’t get hold of anything.
Agree that they should have physical stock, before claiming it’s in stock though. That’s just crap.
