Awaiting delivery of a new 2018 Hightower which i managed to get with 32% off in current sale 🙂
Just wondering which way round they normally install the brakes - UK or Euro/US?
They are closed today otherwise would obviously be asking them directly.
Uk shop UK set up?
Unless you got the shimano ones easy to swap
Mine came UK last year, didn't even think to ask as they're a UK shop 🙂
Cheers. Just wondered as I've read the SC internal cable routing makes running the brakes UK style a bit awkward.
It has XT brakes so swapping would require switching hoses.
I had a 2018 HT LT and it was all external routing for the brakes, likewise with the 2015 nomad I had. I built them both up myself but I'd imagine the brakes will come UK style
I’ve had 3. UK set up, no problem with the routing.
Just wondering which way round they normally install the brakes
have to be set up the UK way if they are selling in the UK
Cheers all - im clearly overthinking it as i have a huge case of new bike excitement!
How exciting! We both have Santa Cruzs from Stif that came with UK brake standard fit. Are they delivering? It’s impossible to spend less than an hr in the shop as they are so friendly and generous with the free coffee!
generous with the free coffee!
Id prefer a big discount off the bike rather than paying for the coffee!
Pretty much every Santa Cruz in the uk has come from Stiff in one way or another as they are also the uk distributor (aka Jungle)
Id prefer a big discount off the bike rather than paying for the coffee!
lol let me know when you can get through coffee at over £20/hr 😉
Sensible idea though, value the customer and look after them.
Yeah, the staff at Stif are ace.
Yes and didn’t like it. Took it back and swapped for a Five. Excellent customer service.
That’s to highlight how good I thought the shop was not to comment on bicycle brands by the way. Enjoy your new bike.
