the Surrey Hills this week?
I've done the Nirvana Shop routes of old but keep missing BKB etc.
I normally ride around 3 hours at a time at the moment, steady pace.
Have a bit of midweek time on my hands so good opportunity to get some new trails under my belt.
Go to Peaslake rather than Westcott 😉 Either find someone riding and tag along or find a strava route.
find the segment you want to ride, go on the leaderboard and select one of the top 10's ride that ticks all your boxes (distance/time/gnar etc <1>) then use a strava to gpx converter to download a gpx and follow on your garmin*
*made a lot of assumptions about you
<1> have done this and sometimes it works as usually people in the top 10 know the route well enough that its ok. Other times you realise that they were doing an exploring route and you end up riding a crappy sheep track that disappears 2 miles into a dense forest or they are a xc machine and your well out of your depth 😳
V666ern, which converter do you use? I've tried this one but I'll be buggered if I can get it to work!
I built a Chrome plugin which adds a "Download GPX" tool option to other people's Strava rides. Msg me if you'd like to try it.
Op you might have more luck putting 'surrey hills' in the thread title.
I will be up there Saturday morning. Not early mind, my buddy works nights so we wont get there until 10:30. We will be parking up in Walking Bottom car park / Peaslake. Give me a shout of that's not too late for you.
I don't have an encyclopaedic knowledge but can put a good loop together hitting some of the more famous trails.
Not being local I tend to leave the secret squirrel stuff for the people that know.
Get the Trailforks app. The surrey hills are pretty well documented on there you can easily plan a 3 hour ride that hits a load of great trails with it.

How is it different from the "Download GPX" box on the activity if you have a premium account? Does it let you download an activity even if there is no "GPX" box on it?

Having a premium account doesn't automatically allow you to take a GPX of every activity, must be something to do with privacy levels.
Mark happy to show you around
Evening rides for me are short as only start riding from 7.45pm ish onwards and tend to end around 10pm..else can do Saturday evening for a longer ride or very early Sunday morning.

Ah thats the one i use, if it helps i use firefox and follow the instructions then check it works with loading it into google earth (save driving 2 hours to find out its sharfted!)
Had used the raceshape one previously which also worked but i think its not available anymore
I might be available some time next week, morning (ish ride) I can find BKB yoghurt pots and telegraph. Also a bit of Pitch Hill, text on 07747627527 if interested, I'm off now. Will be going from near Reading.
