As title - would be for winter xc.

Are they any good, comfort, breatheability, waterproofness, durability etc etc

I’m sort of resigned to being wet, nothing I’ve owned (apart from a buffalo cycling shirt and that is usually too warm) has ever been able either keep the rain out or let the sweat out so that I actually stay dry, ime it’s cheaper to be wet in a simple plastic non expensive non clever top and you’re less upset when it gets rosed/brambled/barbed wired etc

Ta

Also slightly concerned that as a short arse big chest I’d have fitment issues ......

I've got the Endura one.
It's very good. I use it for hillwalking too.

Can get too hot if the temp is over about 15c. Has many zips.
Have stood under a waterfall wearing it and stayed dry.
However the backs of the trousers did get soaked through after about 4 hours on an absolutely torrential day at Kirroughtree.

I have been tempted but have decided to stick with my mtp goretex jacket and trews for the moment. They were v cheap and are v good quality. Although not one piece I do like the all over cover which allows you to just peel em off and throw in a bag at end of day...
