Cut a long story short - I just bought a mint one of these and it turns out the Large frame size is 20.75" rather than the 19.5" that I expected. Later models were 19.5".

Do these "ride small" or am I going to struggle with this? I am 5'11" and a bit. Desperately want to keep it but but would prefer to avoid the hassle of building it up if its going to be too big.

Thanks

Sorry to be (possibly...) the bearer of bad news but Titus frames are kinda on the large side - at least my Motolite was. I'm 6'2" and the Large frame I had was akin to a gate in both appearance and ride.

I suspect that at 5'11" you may well find a large too large.

It was a gate. And don't get me started on the bearings...

Not got an El G, but I do have a Motolite and a Racer X and I think they're both fantastic bikes. Both medium which is a perfect fit for me (5' 8"). Probably doesn't answer your question though.

As HH mentions, bearings are a bit of a pain to get at but I replace them every 18 months or so and just stick it into the LBS.
