You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Hi
it looks (via OS + google earth) like you could go from Tulloch station, E to Reservor, S over Laggan Dam, E then S to Loch Ossian on forestry type trails.
Anybody know what track is like, mapped as mainly landrover/cartrack - any inside info, thanks
It has been resurfaced recently to high quality fire road, pretty smooth and wide. I rode it mid-July, I think it'll be quite different now...
The tracks are all forest roads.
I've ridden from Luiblea (E end of the Laggan reservoir) to Loch Ossian and beyond. It's all easy going and well surfaced. Not been into the S side of Laggan Dam though. The only obstacle I can see in your route is the crossing of the dam itself - from memory, there are some pretty big gates to be negotiated...
Thanks guys, yeah great point about dam gates... E End then
Would a car left out for a couple of days be ok at E end/Luiblea or Tulloch Stn (want to visit YHAs at Ossian and Corrour) then train back
Thanks
Car would be fine. Backpackers/walkers etc leave cars around the Scottish Highlands all the time and there seems to be few problems.
